The Opportunity

We are seeking a Performance Lead — analytical expert, and marketing performance champion — to join our Sydney office to elevate our data maturity, optimise marketing outcomes, and unlock powerful insights and provide meaningful marketing campaign recommendations that will help shape organisational success. 

As our Performance Lead, you will bring deep analytical expertise to enable smarter decision-making across the marketing ecosystem. You’ll analyse and transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that enhance campaign performance, guide strategic initiatives, and empower the marketing team to make more informed decisions. 

This is an opportunity to uplift data capability across the team and directly contribute to member and customer engagement, retention, and brand impact. Your role will be varied and will include: 

  • Lead the analysis of complex datasets to generate insights that improve marketing performance.
  • Develop data-driven solutions to strengthen engagement, retention, and ROI.
  • Shape and contribute to governance frameworks, data requirements, and marketing technology evolution.
  • Leverage algorithms and behavioural analysis to inform targeting, segmentation, and optimisation.
  • Measure and report on personalisation effectiveness across channels using tools such as Data Warehouse, Power BI, Google Analytics and Adobe Campaign.
  • Support Marketing Leads and Specialists in campaign diagnostics using GA, Datorama, and Adobe analytics suites.
  • Partner closely with the Personalisation Lead to align and elevate data‑driven strategies.
  • Work cross‑functionally with stakeholders to embed insight-led thinking across the organisation.
  • Train and support the team on analytics platforms and marketing tools.
  • Collaborate with AICD’s media agency to ensure data availability and meaningful performance reporting.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data, Business, or equivalent work experience in a related role. 
  • Demonstrable experience in a data-centric marketing, CRM/marketing automation platforms, digital analytics or personalisation role.
  • Strong background in digital metrics, insight generation, and customer journey optimisation.
  • Capability in enterprise software, data warehouse architecture, and project methodologies.
  • Skilled in JavaScript, SQL, and statistical tools (e.g., R or Python).
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
  • A passion for customer experience and a drive to improve digital service delivery.
