About the team
The CRM team sits within the Customer Service and Technology function and is responsible for the delivery of CRM improvements and enhancements that drive operational efficiencies, user adoption and an enhanced customer experience
About the role
We are seeking an experienced MS Dynamics Functional and Technical Consultant to analyse, design, build and support solutions across the Microsoft 365 Customer Engagement platform, on a 12-month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will work across the full technology stack to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions that support core business objectives. You will combine hands‑on development with functional consulting, solution design and close collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation.
Your remit will be broad and will include:
Functional consulting
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical solution designs
- Configure and extend Dynamics 365 modules, including Sales, Customer Service, Integration and the Power Platform
- Conduct fit‑gap analysis and recommend best‑practice, scalable solutions aligned to business needs
Development & technical delivery
- Design and develop customisations, extensions and integrations within Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Develop solutions using tools and technologies such as:
- X++ (Finance & Operations)
- C#, .NET, JavaScript and TypeScript
- Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI
- Plugins, workflows and APIs (CE / Dataverse)
- Build and maintain system integrations using Azure services
- Ensure solution designs embed security, accessibility and performance considerations from the outset
- Develop and refine technical estimates and take accountability for delivery across the full development lifecycle
- Work within Agile software development practices, contributing to sprints and driving continual improvement and optimal release cycles
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, tools and techniques, proactively applying learnings to improve outcomes
About you
You will have strong technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, and you will champion the AICD values of: Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration. In addition, you will also have the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Dynamics 365 CRM / Power Platform developer role
- Strong experience configuring and customising Dynamics 365 applications, ideally Sales and/or Customer Service
- Deep, hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse
- Experience working with Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Logic Apps and Azure API Management
- Proven experience working in multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver complex solutions
- Strong communication, documentation and peer‑review skills
- Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational capabilities
- Well‑developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Desirable:
- Exposure to ASP.NET, MVC and Vue.js
