Job Description

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Marketing Lead to play a key role in driving the growth and engagement of AICD’s Membership and Events portfolio.

Working in close partnership with the Membership department, you will lead the development and delivery of high‑impact marketing strategies and integrated campaigns that build awareness, drive acquisition, and strengthen member engagement. Your work will directly support AICD’s purpose by positioning Membership and Events as the premier destination for lifelong director learning.

This role is suited to a confident marketing leader who thrives on collaboration, data‑driven decision making, and delivering measurable outcomes.

Your remit will be broad and will include:

Marketing & Campaign Management

  • Lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive marketing strategy for Membership and Events, aligned with AICD’s broader marketing strategy and organisational mission.
  • Plan and execute integrated, multi‑channel marketing campaigns across paid, digital, print, social media, email and events to maximise impact.
  • Drive enrolment growth through data‑driven marketing initiatives that increase awareness, engagement and conversion across priority audiences.
  • Own and manage an integrated campaign calendar, ensuring effective timing, prioritisation and coordination of promotional activity.
  • Oversee the delivery of compelling content across marketing materials, websites and social media that clearly communicates the value of AICD Membership.
  • Monitor Membership and Events performance data to ensure marketing activity remains aligned with key business priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with Membership and Events stakeholders to align marketing initiatives with program offerings, learner personas and key differentiators.
  • Partner with the media agency to align media strategy with Membership and Events objectives, optimising reach, engagement and impact across target segments.

Performance Analysis & Optimisation

  • Track, analyse and interpret marketing performance data, making data‑driven recommendations to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Report on key performance indicators, enrolment trends and campaign outcomes to support insight‑led decision‑making.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You will have strong technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, and you will champion the AICD values of: Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration. In addition, you will also have the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior or lead marketing role, ideally within a membership‑based organisation or events‑driven environment.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Proven experience delivering integrated, multi‑channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise, including SEO, SEM, email marketing and social media.
  • A data‑driven mindset, with experience identifying challenges, analysing insights and implementing solutions to optimise performance.
  • Experience in market research, analytics and brand performance measurement.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Strong writing and editorial capability, including content development, proofreading and tone‑of‑voice application.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
