About the team
The Sectors Team is dedicated to guiding, engaging, and creating opportunities that enhance governance capabilities in areas where the AICD can deliver significant impact. By delivering targeted programs, scholarships, and initiatives, we support and strengthen directorship standards across key sectors including Not-for-Profit, First Nations organisations, and Board Diversity.
Bringing together deep sector expertise and program delivery capability, the team plays a vital role in building governance capacity across a broad spectrum of communities, ensuring diverse voices are supported, empowered, and heard.
About the role
As the Scholarships Officer, you will manage the end-to-end delivery of AICD’s scholarship programs, ensuring a seamless experience for applicants, scholars, and partners.
You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate program delivery, manage relationships, and ensure programs are delivered to a high standard. This role requires strong organisation, stakeholder management, and analytical capability, along with the ability to manage multiple programs at different stages.
Your remit will be broad and will include:
Manage the full lifecycle of scholarship programs, from application through to completion and reporting
Oversee application processes, including eligibility criteria, timelines, and applicant communications
Deliver information sessions and support applicant engagement
Act as a key point of contact for applicants, scholars, and partners, ensuring professional and timely communication
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, government, and community stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams to support program delivery
Analyse application and program data to generate insights and improve outcomes
Prepare internal and external reports, including progress and impact reporting
Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial acquittals across scholarship programs
Maintain accurate records across CRM systems and scholarship platforms (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365, Good Grants, Wisenet)
Manage contracts and scholarship documentation
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You will have strong technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, and you will champion the AICD “OneTeam” approach and values of: Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration. In addition, you will also have the following:
Experience managing scholarships, grants, funding programs, or similar
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience in financial administration and managing budgets, including payments, acquittals, and compliance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting reports or program materials and delivering presentations.
Experience using CRM systems and program platforms
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data, documentation, and reporting.
A proactive, organised approach with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
